A Study of Classification of Nursing Diagnosis According to Clinical Area


Abstract
Nursing diagnosis can improve nurses¢¥ efficiency, accuracy provide an efficient standard for communication among nurses, improve the quality of nursing care, purpose and direction of nursing and provide a unique dimension to nursing care. The data collection of the study which has been done on March 2. to December 2. 1988. is object to 88 nursing students. In data analysis we took the 590 nursing students nursing diagnosis fit into 51 NANDA nursing diagnosis.
The results of study were as follows:
1. Among the 590 nursing diagnosis which nursing students used in clinical practice: activity intolerance¢¥ and `skin integrity impairment of `Nutrition Alteration in less than body requirements¢¥ Bowel elimination, alteration in constipation¢¥ `Anxiety were next in frequency in this order.
2. In nursing diagnosis according to clinical area: comfort alteration in, and Nurtrition alteration in less than body requirements¢¥ showed the highest frequency in the internal medicine ward, general surgical ward. However in the neurosurgical ward `self care deficit¢¥ and Activity intolerance were shown to have the highest frequencies. In Orthopedic surgical ward, Activity intolerance and comfort alteration in¢¥ were the highest in frequency.
In the emergency room, `comfort alteration in¢¥ and `injury, potential for¢¥ were the highest in frequency.
